The aim of this research is to evaluate the effect of phenolic compounds during the differentiation of cambium and tracheal elements in 'Ayvalık', 'Domat', 'Gemlik', 'Memecik', 'Nizip Yağlik' and 'Sarı Ulak' olive varieties. These varieties are grafted on a one-year-old 'Gemlik' rootstock.
This rootstock has been propagated by cuttings. According to the results of two-year histological studies, the formation of new cambium cells began in the first three months, and vascular bundles and sclerenchyma cells began in the sixth month. A large number of undifferentiated parachymatic cells were detected in both side grafts of 'Ayvalık', 'Domat' and 'Nizip Yağlik' varieties after 3, 6 and 12 months of grafting. In addition, vanylic and ferulic acid contents were determined in vaccine pens of 4 hydroxyphenylacetic acid, Quince, Nizip Oil and Domat varieties at high levels. As a result, the development of new cambium tissues, vascular connections and sclerenchyma tissues occurred imperfectly during the healing of the vaccine site in the varieties 'Ayvalık', 'Domat' and 'Nizip Yağlik', and the vaccine sites of these combinations were found to be weak. In addition, the levels of 4hydroxyphenylacetic acid and Ferulic acidphenolic compounds had a high concentration in the 'Ayvalik' and 'Domat' vaccines, respectively. These results have revealed the existence of a problem in the differentiation of cambium and vascular systems on the vaccine interface of 'Ayvalik' and 'Domat' varieties Dec.
